Following the massive success of "House of the Dragon," yet another "GOT" prequel series is on the way.

Following the massive success of House of the Dragon, yet another Game of Thrones prequel series is on the way: A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight.

The show's greenlighting was announced on Wednesday, April 12, during HBO Discovery's Max streaming service presentation, Variety reported.

While not too much is known about the new GoT spinoff just yet, here's what we know so far.

What is A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight about?

A Knight of Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight is based on George R.R. Martin's Tales of Dunk & Egg novellas: The Hedge Knight, The Sworn Sword and The Mystery Knight. (A compendium of the three novellas was published in 2015 as A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms.)

An official logline for the new spinoff series reads, "A century before the events of Game of Thrones, two unlikely heroes wandered Westeros … a young, naïve but courageous knight, Ser Duncan the Tall, and his diminutive squire, Egg. Set in an age when the Targaryen line still holds the Iron Throne and the memory of the last dragon has not yet passed from living memory, great destinies, powerful foes, and dangerous exploits all await these improbable and incomparable friends."

Martin will write and executive produce the spinoff series alongside Ira Parker, who also wrote for House of Dragons.
