Annual July 4 car show to return

May 10—RUSHVILLE — Classic, hot rod and "rat" car enthusiasts, mark your calendars and make plans to spend this year's Independence Day in Rushville's North Veterans Memorial Park where the 37th annual Rushville Breakfast Optimist Club 4th of July Car Show will be taking place — rain or shine!

Registration for this well attended annual event gets underway at 8 a.m. with the presentation of awards set for approximately 3 p.m.

The registration fee is just $15 per vehicle, and awards will be presented to the Top 25, Longest Distance Traveled, Most Club Participation, Mayor's Choice, President's Choice and Best of Show.

As you might expect, there will be plenty of vendors offering food and drinks, a DJ will be on hand playing favorite songs from throughout the years, assorted door prizes will be given away, and there's sure to be plenty of fun for the entire family.

Proceeds benefit Rush County youth programs.
