  • Anne Hathaway hit the red carpet in a major way this week, rocking a naked dress that showed off her toned legs.

  • The actress hasn't shared a ton about her workout routines, but says she feels more confident in the gym after having kids.

  • When Anne does get her sweat on, she likes to do it in the morning.

Anne Hathaway has been doing the film festival circuit to promote her new movie, She Came to Me, and she’s delivering on all fronts in the fashion department.

For example, the 40-year-old actress completely owned the red carpet at the Berlin International Film Festival in a nearly naked dress that showed off her sculpted arms and strong legs. The dress featured a cool leather-look webbing over a semi-sheer polka dot layer that Anne paired with elbow-length gloves. Overall, she just seemed really strong and happy.

This is hardly Anne’s only leggy moment lately. She showed them off in a thigh-length puffer at Sundance:

If you're wondering how she gets so strong, Anne hasn’t shared a ton about her workout routines lately, but she’s offered up little snippets here and there.

In 2018, she dropped a video on Instagram of herself working her way through a ton of strength-training exercises. "I am gaining weight for a movie role, and it is going well. To all the people who are going to fat shame me in the upcoming months, it’s not me, it’s you," she wrote in the caption.

Anne’s former trainer Ramona Braganza told Women’s Health UK that the actress is a morning exerciser. “Each week of workouts with Anne ahead of the Oscars would include five days of one-hour workouts in the morning,” she said.

Braganza also tried to make warmups fun. “We often warmed up by doing sun salutations or a dance warmup,” she said. “I enjoy leading as I have a background as an NFL cheerleader, which helps.”

Anne, who is a mom of two, said on the Ellen DeGeneres Show in 2020 that she feels more confident at the gym after having kids. “I work out in West Hollywood, so you see, like, Thor’s trainer—you know, the people who have too many muscles to be in The Avengers—so I would normally walk in and feel so intimidated,” she said, per People. “But [now] I walk in, I’m like, ‘Yeah I work out with 5 pound weights, but I pushed a baby out of my body, I feel good right now.’ ”

But Anne told Shape that she’s “not a natural wellness warrior.” Instead, she said, “I try to make it to yoga three or four times a week" (which, BTW, is awesome...).

On the food front, Anne seems open to trying new things, and dives in deep for her acting roles. She previously said on The Late Show that she decided to try being a vegan to prep for her role as Rebekah Neumann in WeCrashed. “I did that thing... so deep in my character, I’m like, ‘I think I’m a vegan now,’” she said. “My husband, we have been together for 14 years and he knows me so well, he went, ‘Oh, wonderful.’ Three weeks later when I was like, ‘I need a burger,’ he was like, ‘OK.’”

Whatever works for you, Anne!
