This Is What Anne Hathaway Looks Like From Her Early Career To Now: Good Genes Or Good Docs?

Anne Hathaway, 40, has been regarded as one of the most natural Hollywood beauties in the industry for quite a while now – and if recent pictures of her are anything to go by, she seems to be getting more gorgeous by the day!

This idea that the Oscar-winning actress was looking better by the day was proven when we saw a 2022 TMZ post featuring a fresh-faced picture of the Oceans 8 star way back in 1999 compared with a picture of her from 2022. We think you’ll agree that, despite always being a natural beauty, which is more than evident in the older picture in TMZ‘s post, the Devil Wears Prada alum is now looking better than ever. Does this mean that she has had some non-invasive procedures such as fillers and Botox to contribute to her present-day appearance, or even gone under the knife? No one can say for sure, but the internet sure does like to speculate!

Anne Hathaway Then And Now

The change in the Bulgari ambassador's appearance was first brought to our attention after seeing TMZ's post. Anne's infectious Hollywood smile was evident in both of the pictures, although the shape of her eyes in the 2022 picture was slightly different, which could be down to anything from eye surgery to makeup to the angle of the picture.

Anne looked incredible in both pictures – with no real difference in terms of beauty in the older and more recent pictures! This inspired us to compile our very own before and after pictures (above and below) using photos from when her career was really taking off back in 2001 (when we first became obsessed with her, when one of our favorite movies, The Princess Diaries, was released!) to 2023. Although her nose looks much thinner in side-by-side pictures of the actress looking directly into the camera, we can't see a huge difference in anything else!

TMZ asked the question whether the Eileen actress's transition from fresh-faced beauty to ageless Hollywood beauty was down to good genes or good docs – and for what it's worth, the results in the poll were very much leaning towards the good genes idea, as most fans didn’t think that she had much work done to contribute to her naturally gorgeous appearance. (At the time of writing, good genes got 70% of the votes, while good docs got 30%.)

When TMZ asked fans on Twitter whether they thought the Les Miserables actress had good genes or good docs, they didn’t hesitate to give their opinions in the comments section. "She's naturally beautiful," gushed one fan, who obviously thought her appearance was down to good genes. "Her acting is OK but her looks are so natural; which makes her so lovely," said another. "Good Genes!" exclaimed another fan, as someone else thought she had "amazing genes."

Others thought the actress had a little bit of help with her appearance, shall we say, with one saying, "Docs… just look at her nose," and another adding, "Hollywood's good plastic surgeons." "Docs. The nose is def different," said another, to which one replied, "I agree with the nose comment, but she would still be pretty regardless." "Good plastic surgeon," speculated another fan, followed by the thumbs up emoji, as another thought she had a "new nose and cheek implants."

Many other fans thought her recent appearance was down to a little bit of both, with another saying, "Don’t matter, beautiful lady!" and someone else adding, "I think it's a bit of both. I mean she's got natural beauty but it's been helped along a little."
