Ever wanted to know what Anna Wintour really thinks? Such is the premise of our new series, Go Ask Anna, in which total strangers get to ask the Vogue Editor in Chief how she feels about anything.

First up: The royal family. What does Wintour think about the recent rumblings that Meghan Markle has been shaking things up at Kensington Palace? “I read somewhere that there were members of the royal household that were confused and upset that she woke up so early, at 5:00 a.m.,” Wintour says. “She’s a normal California girl who gets up early and does yoga and meditates. She also sent a lot of text messages. I mean, what did they expect? That she was going to send messages via pigeon? I think she’s amazing.”
