A24 has recruited two Hollywood powerhouses to star in their newest movie, Mother Mary.
Anne Hathaway and Michaela Coel are set to take on the "epic pop melodrama," which will have them play a musician and iconic fashion designer, respectively. The star-studded film will be helmed by The Green Knight director David Lowery, and music will be written by Jack Antonoff and Charli XCX.

Though not much is yet known about the project, A24 describes Mother Mary as an "epic pop melodrama following a fictional musician and her relationship with an iconic fashion designer."
Who is in the cast?
Anne Hathaway—whose most recent projects include Eileen, Mother's Instinct, and Idea of You—has been cast as the fictional musical artist. Meanwhile, Michaela Coel—who rose to global acclaim following her dramedy I May Destroy You, and has also starred in the Black Panther franchise—will play the iconic fashion designer.
Who is directing?
David Lowery, who previously helmed The Green Knight and A Ghost Story, is set to direct the film based on a script he wrote. This marks his third project with A24.
Who is writing the music?
A24 has tapped Bleachers frontman Jack Antonoff and British singer-songwriter Charli XCX to write and produce original songs for the movie. Antonoff is well known for co-producing music with Taylor Swift, Lorde, Lana del Rey, and others.
Daniel Hart will compose the original score.
