Anna Faris Reveals What It’s Really Like Working with Allison Janney on ‘Mom’

Slow clap for Anna Faris. Her role playing Christy on the hit CBS comedy series Mom is about to enter the seventh season. That’s no small feat, especially on network TV.

Lucky for us, we had the chance to congratulate Faris in person while she was in New York City to promote her partnership with Clorox and its $150,000 DonorsChoose.org campaign to help provide clean, creative workspaces for students across the country. We also had to ask: After six-plus years together on set, what is it really like working with her on-screen mom—the one, the only Allison Janney (aka Bonnie on the hit show)?

“She’s amazing,” Faris says. “I’m so lucky to get to work with Allison. She is a joy and helps make it so that I’m one of very few people on the planet that gets to drive to work and feel really joyful and grateful that I get to do what I do.”

Need more proof of the bond the two share? Simply peep Faris’s Instagram account (or Janney’s, for that matter) to see regular updates, selfies and instructional dance videos of the pair from behind the scenes.

As for season seven of Mom? It kicks off on September 26. (Save the date.)
