Animal Rescue Makes Plea for Help for Cat Who Was Dumped Outside in the Dark

How can anyone be so cruel?

Even though animal shelters are there to care for pets who haven't found their forever homes, some of the ways animals end up there just break our hearts. AGWC Rockin Rescue's newest feline resident, for example, was dumped near the shelter in the cold and darkness. Luckily, she was found, fed, and warmed up first thing in the morning!

The folks at @agwcrockinrescue are heroes for taking in this young orange cat, as well as hundreds of other animals! Once this girl is nursed back to health and given a festive name, we hope to see her up for adoption on the rescue's website.

Poor baby girl! We can't imagine how scared she must've been after being stuck in her carrier overnight. Fortunately, rescuers were there to help before she became sick or injured.

"This looks like it wasn't a wanted surrender by the owner," commenter @john1226 mentioned. "We should be thankful & prayers for whatever situation that person was going through." You're so right! It's easy to assume the worst of people in situations like these, but the truth is that we will never know. We're just glad the kitty is okay!

As we expected, viewers are coming up with tons of creative name ideas for the cat. @Kakashimom6 said, "Hope is a good name" since she "looks so scared." It would be a meaningful choice for sure!  We don't know what they'll pick but others are suggesting names based on the time of year.

"Since it’s cold you could go with winter, snow or even Noel because of Christmas time," suggested @apeyrat1017. You can't go wrong with any of these names!
