Animal Foundation looking for fosters for kitten season

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — The Animal Foundation announced a new walk-in kitten fostering program after it took in more than 300 kittens.

The program allows community members can come to the shelter between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. daily, be trained by a staff member, and take a litter of kittens home the same day.

The program urges community members to become part of the “Itty Bitty Kitty Committee.” March through October is known as kitten season, during which the shelter will take in thousands of orphaned kittens.

Kitten fosters not only help save the lives of the kittens in their care, but they also free up essential resources for the shelter to take in even more kittens, a release from The Animal Foundation said.

The Animal Foundation is located at 655 North Mojave Road.
