New Angeleno Harley Viera-Newton Celebrated the Season at Levi’s the Summer Shop in L.A.

Last night on Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood, the ladies of Los Angeles came out to celebrate the second iteration of Levi’s the Summer Shop—a pop-up curated by brand-new Angeleno Harley Viera-Newton that features summery wares from Viera-Newton’s own line, HVN; Levi’s; Alison Lou; Liana; and more. “I moved to L.A. three months ago, and what better way to celebrate than with an HVN pop-up?” she said. “It’s been great to curate my world of all my favorite things and include a bunch of New York–based designers as well.”

Indulging in this world last night were the likes of Erin Foster, Kathryn Newton, Charlotte McKinney, Zoey Deutch, Dree Hemingway, Langley Fox, Natalie Love, and Charlotte Ronson. All sipped rosé, toasting the new store (where Viera-Newton’s signature cherry print is splashed all over) while they bopped to the tunes that Viera-Newton (who DJ’d for the night) pulled from her personal playlist and partook in a custom chain-stitch embroidery station.

“I’m still DJ’ing, and I think that music and fashion have always played a part for each other,” she explained. “There’s just such a strong connection between the two, and you can’t separate them, and I think it makes sense that I’m in both worlds.”

“I love the curation of the brands for summer, from Barbara Sturm to Levi’s,” said McKinney. “I love the high-waisted cutoffs. All of the pieces are timeless staples for summer no matter where you are in the world.”
