Angelina Jolie's 13th Birthday Party For Shiloh Just Won Her Mom of the Year
Has it really been thirteen years since Shiloh Jolie-Pitt was born? It seems like just yesterday we were all clamoring for the first photos of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s baby, and since that time Shiloh has grown into a well-rounded teenager alongside her five siblings.
Officially entering her teens and celebrating the big 1-3 on Monday, Harper’s Bazaar reports Jolie decided to treat her daughter to an awesome experience at the Los Angeles-based escape room The Basement. Based in the neighborhood of Sylmar, The Basement is an escape room experience that includes live actors and four unique experiences. No doubt the mother-daughter pair were able to rock it out of there quickly, securing their “I escaped The Basement” t-shirts! This had to be a fun day out, even if the concept of an escape room seems built to induce panic and claustrophobia.
Jolie is an incredibly hands-on mom to her brood of six, actively discussing rape culture with them, having them sell dog treats at the local dog park and planning amazing family outings. The group recently attended the Dumbo red carpet premiere as a family, as well as the recent screening of The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind, though it seems Shiloh’s siblings weren’t on this specific trip.
The alone time between the two must have been the perfect way to destress. It’s been three years since the infamous Jolie-Pitt breakup, and despite a “never-ending” divorce settlement and issues around child support payments, there’s no ill-will between the two who co-parent their children. According to sources quoted in Harper’s, there’s no “drama” between Brad and Jolie, and they’ve been able to put aside their differences.
Now if we can just get Jolie to commit to a decision on whether she’s entering politics!
