In that mix was parent of six and actress Angelina Jolie, who stepped out with son Pax to the Burton shop in Santa Monica in search of cool pieces for her brood. For the outing, Jolie kept things simple in Max Mara’s cozy robe coat.
The refined piece fell in line with Jolie’s penchant for neutral-tone toppers—last month saw her in Max Mara’s black version in London, and September saw her swaddle up in Ryan Roche’s open-front duster—and was a clever foil for her LBD. The piece's exposed seams and oversize patch pockets were clever design details that amped up the tailored effect while the cinched belt provided definition.
Retro-inspired sunglasses and a chain-link Saint Laurent shoulder bag were A-list accents, while pointy-toe flats grounded Jolie’s look with an effortless finish.
