Angelina Jolie Turned the ‘Maleficent: Mistress of Evil’ Premiere into a Family Affair

Angelina Jolie might be the star of Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, but all eyes were on her kids during the film’s Los Angeles premiere.

Last night, the 44-year-old actress walked the red carpet for a special screening of the Maleficent sequel at the El Capitan Theater and brought along five of her children: Pax (15), Zahara (14), Shiloh (13) and twins Vivienne and Knox (11). While her oldest son, Maddox (18), was noticeably absent from the group, he has a valid excuse for missing the premiere, since he recently started college in South Korea.

The actress donned a stunning asymmetric dress by Versace. The Jolie-Pitt kids matched their superstar mom in black ensembles. Well, excluding Knox, who opted for a pop of teal.

This isn’t the first time Jolie has hit the red carpet with her brood. Back in February 2019, she attended a special screening of The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind at the Crosby Street Hotel in New York City with all six of her kids.

In a recent interview with Hello! magazine, Jolie revealed that she enjoys watching them transition into teenagers. “As they grow up, I find my children are strong individuals but still open-minded,” she said. “I try to lead by example and be kind and gracious, as my mother was—and loving and tolerant.”

Welp, they grow up so fast. Maleficent: Mistress of Evil will hit theaters on October 18.
