Angelina Jolie Is Spending New Year's Eve with Her Children in Ethiopia

Angelina Jolie is spending New Year's Eve in a very special place.

People reports the actress and four of her children — Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, and 11-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne — are celebrating the holiday in Ethiopia, where Zahara was born. During the trip, Jolie brought Shiloh and Zahara to meet with Sahle-Work Zewde, the president of Ethiopia and the first woman to hold the office.

According to People, they spent the meeting discussing education, sanitary pad solutions to help girls continue their schooling, and Ethiopian culture and history.

At just 14, Zahara is already following in her mother's footsteps of philanthropy and giving back — in October, she launched her own jewelry collection, the proceeds of which went to the House of Ruth Shelters, an organization that provides transitional housing and support for women and children dealing with domestic violence.

Earlier this month, E! News reported that the Jolie-Pitt children would also be spending part of the holidays with dad Brad Pitt in Los Angeles, though the outlet's source said it was unclear if all six children would be going.

"He will see them for his birthday and for Christmas Eve," the source said at the time. "The kids will come over to Brad's house and spend the day with him. They have some traditions where they eat and exchange gifts. They play music and just hang out. Brad always wants to make it special for them and loves to see the excitement in their eyes."
