Angelina Jolie Is Reportedly Dating Again Amid Brad Pitt Divorce

From Harper's BAZAAR

  • Angelina Jolie is slowly getting back into the dating scene amid her "messy" divorce from Brad Pitt, a source close to the actress told Us Weekly.

  • Insiders also allege that she'll probably never marry again and that she "resents" Pitt for turning their children's lives "upside down."

  • Although Jolie and Pitt are legally single, their divorce is still being settled, according to reports in October.

Angelina Jolie is officially moving on. The 44-year-old actress "has been on a few dates," a source told Us Weeklybut, the insider adds, "nothing serious" has blossomed for Angie in the romance department. Yet, anyway.

"She isn’t closed to the idea of meeting someone new, but it’s not her main priority," the source explained. "She’s all about focusing on the kids, her job, and cleaning up her messy divorce."

Jolie and her ex, Brad Pitt, have only been legally single since April 2019, but announced their separation in 2016, after two years of marriage and more than a decade as partners and co-parents. The divorce may have been "messy," and is still being settled, but the exes have at least reached a custody agreement when it comes to co-parenting their six children—Maddox, 18, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 11.

While the Us Weekly source says that Jolie will "get back to the dating scene, without a doubt" once her divorce is finalized, another source recently told the outlet that the actress "will never get married again." The source added, "She felt that Brad pressured her into getting married, and it was something that she never wanted to do."

That pressure might have led to feelings of "resentment" toward her ex, according to another of Us Weekly's sources close to the actress. Jolie "wants him to be held accountable because she feels he turned her and the children’s lives upside down," per the insider.

On a similar note, during her interview for the December 2019/January 2020 issue of Harper's BAZAAR, Jolie was asked to describe a time she and her family "butted up" against "unspoken societal limits."

"I would love to live abroad and will do so as soon as my children are 18," the actress admitted, before adding that her custody agreement with Pitt made the move impossible until then. "Right now I'm having to base where their father chooses to live."

Jolie also opened up about finding herself again in recent years during her BAZAAR interview.

"The part of us that is free, wild, open, curious can get shut down by life. By pain or by harm," she said. "My children know my true self, and they have helped me to find it again and to embrace it. They have been through a lot. I learn from their strength. As parents, we encourage our kids to embrace all that they are, and all that they know in their hearts to be right, and they look back at us and want the same for us."

It certainly sounds like Angelina Jolie is finding all of the strength she needs to move forward with every aspect of her life—not that we'd ever expect anything different.
