Angelina Jolie Makes a Case for Wearing a Black Trench Coat in the Summer

Angelina Jolie was again seen looking fabulous while out in New York City with son Pax Jolie-Pitt.
Last night, the actor and director was spotted walking out of a hotel in her go-to sleek black trench coat (yes, in the NYC summer) layered over a breezy black dress and paired with black ballet flats with tiny bows at the front. She accessorized simply, with a large black quilted leather pouch by Saint Laurent, black sunglasses with lightly tinted lenses, and dainty gold jewelry.
Pax looked cool in a salmon-colored shirt, matching sneakers, black pants, and a silver chain necklace.
Jolie and her 19-year-old have been spending plenty of time in the city together in recent weeks, and throughout that time, Jolie has continuously showed off her sophisticated monochromatic style. The trench coat is one of her staples, and she seems to own the piece in various subdued shades.
Last Friday, she was seen walking through New York’s JFK airport with children Pax and Zahara, 18, looking chic in her favorite black trench belted at the waist (shop similar styles), big white pants, and beige platform sandals with white soles. She accessorized with black sunglasses, diamond stud earrings, and gold rings, and was seen rolling a silver carry-on from Rimowa.
And last month, Jolie was spotted walking in Manhattan with Pax, looking fantastic in a white trench, which she layered over a black midi dress and paired with transparent tights, black pointed-toe pumps, a white leather crossbody bag, and large black sunglasses. Her accessories included small gold hoop earrings and gold rings.
