Angelina Jolie Layers a Cape Over a Slipdress for Night Out with Daughter Zahara

Any day we get to see Angelina Jolie's impossibly chic style is a good day—and yesterday, it happened twice.
On Wednesday, the actress stepped out in New York City with her eldest daughter, Zahara Jolie-Pitt, to attend an event at Lincoln Center. For the occasion, the Those Who Wish Me Dead star put together a sophisticate, angelic ensemble, consisting of a black textured cape layered over a silk ivory slipdress, and paired with beige pumps.
She accessorized simply with large diamond stud earrings, and carried the Cassandre leather pouch by Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello. She wore rosy makeup, a soft pink lip, and had her hair down in relaxed waves.
Zahara took a style cue from her elegant mother for the evening out, wearing an off-the-shoulder orange-and-red printed dress paired with an oversized gray blazer. She put a casual spin on the otherwise gala-worthy ensemble with a pair of black Converse sneakers, and carried a black clutch to match her mom's.
The new college student wore the same sneakers and clutch earlier in the day, when the pair spent the day together in Manhattan. Zahara stayed cozy in a fluffy black shearling jacket, a midnight blue knit sweater, black tapered trousers.
Jolie, meanwhile, wore the most fabulous black wrap coat, styled over a pair of light gray wide-leg trousers and heeled black leather boots. She carried her Saint Laurent clutch and accessorized with diamond studs, gold bracelets and rings, and olive green-tinted aviator sunglasses with golden frames.
The mother-daughter is regularly spotted on fashionable outings. Last November, they went on a sweet Brooklyn Museum date to see the "Death to the Living, Long Live Trash," exhibition by artist Duke Riley. And last June, they were photographed looking breezy in Rome, where Jolie was directing Without Blood, a drama based on the novel of the same name by Italian writer Alessandro Baricco and starring actress Salma Hayek.
