Angelina Jolie Just Went Bright Blonde for the First Time in Years

Blonder for spring? Groundbreaking.

Angelina Jolie's blonde hair got a whole lot blonder — and just in time for spring. Months after debuting a caramel-colored dye job when announcing her Atelier Jolie collaboration with Chloé back in June, a subsequent ombre effect by fall, the actress was spotted leaving her store in Manhattan's NoHo neighborhood on Wednesday night while sporting an even lighter mane.

Going several shades brighter than before, Angelina — who is known for her glossy brunette hair – styled her freshly dyed buttery locks in bouncy waves with face-framing layers, loads of texture, and a side part. She paired her new hair with a long black wool coat with a white T-shirt underneath and tinted sunglasses. 

Minimal makeup (bare lips, rosy cheeks, dewy skin), delicate diamond hoops, and a giant handbag — likely a piece from her new collection with Atelier Jolie — provided the finishing touches to her blonde bombshell look.

Jolie hair hasn't been this light in years — notably, not since she dyed her hair platinum blonde for her role in the 1999 film Girl, Interrupted. Other movies — including Come Away, Gone in Sixty Seconds, and Life or Something Like It — also saw Angelina ditch her natural brunette shade for a bright blonde hue. Meanwhile, in 2014, Jolie switched up her hair again — this time, adding auburn highlights to her chestnut strands.
