Nearly three years after they first separated, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are negotiating a “bifurcated judgment” of their married status, per The Blast. This will allow them to continue to discuss the terms of their divorce while not dragging out their married status any longer.

A source told The Blast that the two actors, who were together for more than a decade, “both want to get on with their lives and no longer want to be married to each other.”

The two have been reportedly meeting in the past few months-once, in a September 2018 meeting that was said to have gone well and another time in January that The Blast says was not successful.

The complexity of splitting finances is likely what’s slowing down this process, though compromising on parenting seems to have been another challenge for the couple. The purpose of their September meeting was to discuss their children and their plans for raising them.

'It’s the first time they have truly gotten together to make things work since their group therapy with the children,” a source told Entertainment Tonight then. Brad and Angie’s meeting was a success. They are going to stay with the plan set forth through the courts.”

“In the meantime, Jolie has been seen out with her children on outings in Los Angeles, including selling dog treats in a public park to benefit a local animal rescue last year.

I’m not sure why God chose me to tell this story but I have to fulfill my calling: A couple months ago I went to the dog park and saw Angelina Jolie selling organic dog treats,” actress Sarah Ramos wrote in an Instagram post in January.

This “bifurcated judgment” would reward Pitt and Jolie single status and potentially make this process-and any future meetings-easier for their family.
