Angelica Ross revealed in an Instagram live she had an uncomfortable experience on the set of American Horror Story: 1984 when co-star Emma Roberts made a transphobic remark.

Explaining that when the two were talking on set and the director addressed them as ladies, Emma Roberts responded with, "Don't you mean lady?"

Ross then shared that she didn't speak with Roberts again on set.

When explaining why she didn't share this with anyone, she said, "If I say something, it's going to be me that's the problem, and I know this because there was someone who spoke up about what she was doing, and they got repercussions from it".

Angelica Ross then shared on Twitter that Roberts also copied her voice on set, dropping "it several octaves".

Later that evening, Ross publicly thanked Roberts for calling her and apologizing.

Ross also opened up about "a series of events that tell a different kind of horror story", going on to say, "People on here are being unpaid extras whose inhumanity is frightening."

She also said she has "been offered the space to go into more detail soon".
