Angelababy Does Tie-Dye the Front Row Way at Dior

The model-actress is at her best when she’s experimenting with fashion.

Angelababy never misses an opportunity to test out a trend. The model-actress is at her best when she’s experimenting with fashion and this morning at Dior’s Fall 2019 ready-to-wear show she arrived at Musée Rodin sporting a daring new look. In head to toe tie-dye print, she gave the psychedelic motif a romantic twist thanks to the classic silhouette and neutral colors of her gown. With its belted waist and tiers of tulle, the gauzy navy and cream number from Maria Grazia Chiuri’s Spring 2019 runway was refined. And when you consider the coordinating Lady Dior handbag with its trippy kaleidoscope motif, the overall ensemble offered a head-to-toe clash of patterns.

The Dior version of tie-dye is markedly more subdued than the neon hippie prints typically associated with the technique; indeed the muted color scheme made things feel elevated and fresh. Taking a moment to pose opposite the Eiffel Tower in her Dior finery, Angelababy appeared chic and completely modern. Though she switches her outfits multiple times per day, don't be surprised if this is one trend Angelababy revisits. She was so taken with the look that she gave it the ultimate social media star endorsement: a series of Instagram updates that provided a 360 view of the print and all its details.
