Angela Bassett Makes Off-the-shoulder Statement in Black Velvet Gown to Golden Globes 2024

Angela Bassett went for classic glamour at the Golden Globe Awards 2024 on Sunday in Los Angeles, in an off-the-shoulder, black velvet dress.
Bassett’s gown included a bustier-like neckline and a long side-train. The star accessorized with gold Ruby and diamond drop earrings by Lagos jewelry and a crystal-embellished clutch.

The actress works with stylist Jennifer Austin on her looks.
Bassett was among several celebrity presenters at the Golden Globes 2024, including Julia Garner, Michelle Yeoh and Oprah Winfrey.
“I’m presenting for Best Supporting Actor because this is the category where I took home that lovely statute last year,” Bassett told WWD on the red carpet at the ahead of the awards, adding “I’m excited about everyone I’m seeing and the wonderful work they’ve been doing.”
At last year’s Golden Globes, Bassett wore a silver sparkling Pamella Roland halter gown and secured a Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture for her role in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.”
The 81st annual Golden Globe Awards, held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, celebrate the biggest achievements across film and television in 2023.
