Consuelos made his 'Live' debut earlier this week.

Andy Cohen proved he'll always stick up for his friends.

The Watch What Happens Live host, 54, called out a major publication on his radio show earlier today after the outlet claimed that Mark Consuelos' debut as Live co-host with his wife, Kelly Ripa, had not only gotten negative reviews but that Cohen also participated in the online discussion.

"I have a bone to pick with the New York Post," Cohen stated on the April 19 episode of SiriusXM's Andy Cohen Live. "Mark and Kelly had their premiere the other day. Okay. The New York Post writes an article saying the response to the show was bad, and they quote 10 or seven or five negative tweets about the show. This is a national show that gets, I think, like 5 million viewers a day. It's the No. 1 morning show."

The talk show host went on to say that it's evident there are going to be negative tweets to any show, even his own, stating, "There are probably 16 troll-y tweets about this particular broadcast right now." Adding, "There's not a show that you could write about that you couldn't say, ‘Well, guess what? People on Twitter hated it.'"

He continued: "It's reported as news, six troll-y tweets, where I'm sure Monday's show—and we don't know the rating yet—probably got their highest ratings in the longest time. Who cares what six randos said on Twitter, you know?"

Cohen explained that the outlet continued ran almost the same story the following day, "But then they did it again on Tuesday. They're like, ‘Yeah, people still don't like it.' You know what, you're lazy. You are lazy. You're picking your butt trying to come up with something to write about."

Cohen also noted that the Post incorrectly claimed that one of his now-deleted Instagram Stories–which featured a picture of Snoopy that read something along the lines of "Hang in there"–was a nod to Consuelos and Ripa, the Bravo star clarified that he shares similar posts quite often.

"Are you kidding me?" Andy exclaimed. "This is crazy. This has nothing to do with anything."

Consuelos made his Live debut on Monday, April 17, permanently taking over after Ryan Seacrest's departure.
