Andri Ragettli Tries Out The Dying Sport Of Grass Skiing

Andri Ragettli is arguably one of the best freestyle skiers out there, known for landing the world's first quadruple cork 1800 in 2017.

The guy doesn't just dominate on snow, though. In a Youtube upload shared today, on August 14th, Ragettli attempted to participate in an antiquated sport: grass skiing.

Watch as Ragettli navigates the grass hills of Switzerland for the first time.

Y'know, it was pretty refreshing seeing Ragettli flounder and feel uncomfortable while participating in a type of action sport.

Keep in mind, this is a guy who, as I noted before, has landed a quad cork. He's also nabbed 10 World Cup titles and several X-Games golds.

Still, it's refreshing to know that he, too, can be in over his head when trying something new. Pros, they're just like the rest of us! Okay, not really, but you get my gist.

This video also signals that grass skiing is probably incredibly hard, as Ragettli's one of the most coordinated humans on Earth. If he's struggling, I'd be going down face-first within 30 seconds.

Inevitable bails aside, I think I'd still like to try grass skiing. It looks like a fun way (maybe) to stay in shape for skiing. If anything, it'd make for a goofy afternoon or two.

If your interest is piqued, Grasski appears to be the preeminent manufacturer of grass skis. Check them out by following this link.
