Don't quit your day job. Well, until you actually can.

Like Andrew "Cotty" Cotton, AKA the "plumber to pro big-wave surfer," who worked as a plumber to support his habit of chasing big waves around the UK.

Today, he's recognized worldwide as one of the best Nazaré surfers and just talked surfing and returning to HBO's 100 Foot Wave next season on Bloom TV in Tampa Bay.

In the video above, host Gayle Guyardo asked: "What is it like to big wave surf with waves that are like, 100 feet tall?"

"When you're actually in the ocean and surfing those waves, it feels really calm and quiet. There's something about it like nothing else matters, and it's really a calm thing," Cotton replied.

He said the 100 Foot Wave crew is currently filming season three, which takes about two years. The crew's been all over the world, from Portugal, to Ireland, and even Cortez Bank in San Diego. They plan to start filming again in October.

When asked about his progression from plumber to pro, Cotty basically chalked it up to luck and dedication.

"It's just really fortunate, and obviously my passion's surfing. The waves just kept getting bigger. I met the right people at the right time, I was in the right places," he said. "And I think the most important is just never give up. I've had injuries and setbacks like everyone does but the goal was always the same, to ride the biggest waves."

The big-wave surf docuseries is directed by award-winning filmmaker Chris Smith and executive produced by Emmy®, Golden Globe®, and Tony® winner Joe Lewis (from “Fleabag”)–follows Garrett McNamara, Justine Dupont, Kai Lenny and a cadre of big-wave extremists as they go toe to toe with the world's scariest waves.
