Ancestry Is Offering Free Access to 344 Million Military Records through Sunday in Honor of 75th Anniversary of D-Day
Every day is a good day to honor the military heroes who served our country. Today, is a particularly poignant one as it's the 75th anniversary of the 1944 Allied invasion of Normandy during World War II.
In honor of D-Day's anniversary, Ancestry wants to salute the tremendous military contributions and sacrifices so many have made by offering free access today through June 9th to their collection of more than 344 million global military records. The biggest such collection of draft cards, service records, prisoner and casualty lists, and more. You can start your research at ancestry.com/DDay75. To start exploring, all you need to do is enter your full name, birth year, and location of birth.
To date, Ancestry.com has invested $300 million in digitizing records over the past 20 years, with 2 million more records added to their database daily. Those interested in learning more about their family histories can purchase an Ancestry subscription and/or an AncestryDNA kit.
