Anastasia Soare's Nightly Skincare Routine is as Luxe as You Imagine

From Harper's BAZAAR

Anastasia Soare is a Romanian immigrant who became the eyebrow guru to all of your favorite A-list celebrities. Oprah Winfrey, Victoria Beckham, Naomi Campbell, Amal Clooney, Jennifer Lopez, and First Lady Michelle Obama have all relied on Soare's expert technique to help groom their brows. In this episode of Go To Bed With Me, the CEO and founder of Anastasia Beverly Hills spills all her secrets for beautiful skin (think alkaline water and lots of creams).

Soare kicks off her nightly beauty routine with a drugstore find: Aveeno's Ultra-Calming Makeup Removing Wipes. She gently wipes away her foundation, her namesake liquid lipstick, and lastly her signature eyebrows.

Before she dives into the rest of her skincare routine, the beauty mogul reveals that she practices a holistic approach to beauty, which includes drinking two to three glasses of alkaline water in the morning. But although Soare has a Kangen water machine in her Los Angeles home, she cautions not to overdo it with the alkaline water or else it will "imbalance the electrolytes in your body."

She also consumes anti-inflammatory foods, because "the skin is a reflection of what we eat, what we drink, [and] how we take care of [ourselves] from within." She adds that skincare is "something we could take of from outside."

She rubs Dr. Barbara Sturm's Darker Skin Tones Foam Cleanser in the palm of her hands, then gently pats it on her face to help breakdown excess makeup. Soare follows up by lightly rubbing Dr. Barbara Sturm's Super Anti-Aging Serum on her face. "The water molecule is a lot heavier than the oil molecule, so it's better to use everything that is oily first, and then you use the water products after," she says while patting the serum under her eyes. "That will help penetrate [the skin] faster."

Soare then applies Dr. Barbara Sturm's Darker Skin Tones Hyaluronic Serum over her face and décolletage, noting that she "immediately" feels a tightening effect on her skin. She delicately pats the rest of the product around her eyes to help her muscles relax.

Soare's third and final face serum is Dr. Barbara Sturm's Brightening Serum, which she massages all over her face. She follows this with Dr. Barbara Sturm's Face Cream. After pressing the custom moisturizer (which uses protein from your blood) into her skin using an upward motion, she works her way down to her neck and décolletage, then rubs anything left over onto her hands.

Soare then uses the metal-tipped cooling wand that comes with La Mer's Eye Concentrate to lightly massage the rich cream around her eyes in a circular motion for ten minutes. Afterward, she applies La Mer's Lifting Contour Serum followed by La Mer's Moisturizing Cream. "There's nothing that I like [more] than to use a lot of good creams," she says while rubbing the product all over her face, neck and décolletage. "[It] makes my skin so hydrated."

Lastly, Soare emphasizes the ultimate beauty hack for a well-moisturized, glowing, and healthy complexion: Always remove your makeup before going to bed. "It doesn't matter how late I come home-it could be two o'clock, three o'clock in the morning-I have to take off my makeup," she says.
