Amy Schumer Posts Truly Unapologetic Postpartum Photo of Her C-Section Scar

Amy Schumer has made it clear that she’s not apologizing for her postpartum body. She's kept it real about severe morning sickness, and posted photo after photo of what it’s really like to live the new mom life-physically and emotionally.

Earlier this week, the 38-year-old comedian posted a hilariously real Instagram photo in nothing but her super-comfy hospital underwear and a bra five weeks after giving birth to her son Gene. She wrote: “5 weeks. Hospital underwear for life!” While she earned a ton of praise for being so open and vulnerable, some people clearly weren’t having it, stating that she should try to pull herself together a bit more.

Now, Schumer is responding to those who can’t take a joke. In a recent Instagram post, she clapped back with a truly unapologetic caption: “I’m really sorry if I offended anyone with my hospital underwear. Except I’m just kidding. #csection #balmain.”

As you swipe to the second photo in the post, Schumer shows off her postpartum belly and C-section scar with pride-and once again, people were grateful for her raw honesty.

“Your c section incision looks awesome! I’m mostly impressed that you got that much of a hospital undie stash, mine ran out after 10 pairs. You’ve got supply game!” one person wrote.

“I don’t think you realize exactly how strong of a role model you are. Thank you for existing - you give me and so many others so much courage. Keep doing you; for us,” wrote another.

“Sitting here in my diaper reading this. When the nurse brought me to the bathroom after the delivery Sunday and brought out the underwear, I exclaimed “Like Amy Schumer!!” You demystified that portion of this crazy process for me!” said one fan.

Obviously, she has had one heck of a pregnancy, and in typical Amy fashion, she’s approaching the experience with the humor every woman needs to get through the ups and downs of being a new mom-and that’s something we should all get behind.
