Amy Grant is back! The beloved singer has joined country’s rising star Cory Asbury on a new version of his hit song, "These Are the Days".

The gentle country tune, off of Asbury’s fifth album, Pioneer, is a roaring success, but there’s always room to climb higher, and no one better to help than Grant. The new version of the song features Grant weaving her vocals into the tune, offering the perfect accompaniment to Asbury’s words and music.

The combination of Grant and Asbury is a natural fit. Both were popular Christian singers who also crossed over to mainstream pop and country tunes. Plus, after being married to Vince Gill for years, Grant is certainly no stranger to country music and was already a fan of the song. According to country music news website, Taste of Country, Grant “called it one of the best songs she'd heard in a long time, while Asbury labeled Grant a legend.”

It is always good to have new music from Grant. The multi-platinum, six-time Grammy-winner announced her first new song in years back in March, and, after recovering from a scary bike accident, she is back making music and touring. That includes taking Asbury up on the opportunity to join him on a new version of the viral hit.

Even before Grant jumped on the tune as a featured singer, the song was wildly popular thanks in part to a show of support by country superstar Luke Combs. He and his wife, Nicole, chose the track as the soundtrack for a social media post announcing the birth of their second child, Beau. After Combs’ selected the song for the sweet post, others followed suit. Now, the tune has become the song of choice for sentimental and nostalgia-filled posts on Instagram and TikTok and has racked up over five million streams. That number will surely rise even higher now that Amy Grant is on board.
