Amy Duggar King Just Shared the Realest Photo of Her Postpartum Belly on Instagram
Amy Duggar King gave birth to her first child, Daxton Ryan, via c-section in October.
The Counting On star recently shared two photos of her postpartum belly to uplift moms struggling with self-acceptance.
“Every scar, tummy pooch, stretch mark, and flabbiness you have now has created life!” Duggar wrote.
After having her first baby, Daxton Ryan, Counting On’s Amy Duggar King isn’t worried about the baby weight. She’s more focused on taking in all of the first-time mom experiences, and she’s encouraging others to do the same. On January 30, she shared two makeup-free photos that showed off her postpartum belly.
“My body is not magazine perfect, but this is me. When I look in the mirror I see a MOM. And there is no greater honor, love, or blessing!” Amy, 32, captioned the post. She’s wearing a pair of jeans and a black sports bra, and in the second mirror selfie, she’s pinching her side.
“To all the mamas out there struggling to accept their new figure just remember every scar, tummy pooch, stretch mark, and flabbiness you have now has created life!” she said. “Be proud of that! Your body is powerful and made you a mother! Forget society’s standards on what is beautiful! You’re a badass, be patient with your progress and love yourself.”

Her followers also celebrated the positive message. “You look amazing Amy, good on you for this post... so real and what true life is.. makes a refreshing change from ‘perfect insta pics’ 😍,” one person commented. “Love this. Thank you,” another wrote.
Amy and her husband Dillon King welcomed Daxton via c-section on October 9. He weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces, and measured 20 inches.
This isn’t the first time Amy has gotten real on Instagram. “I’m so ready for this new amazing, challenging, messy, and unbelievably beautiful chapter…” she wrote on Instagram ahead of her delivery. And it has definitely been all of those things.
On November 5, she shared another candid photo taken by her mom while she napped with her newborn. “Pretty poses, makeup, and photoshoots are great but it’s not real. Life isn’t perfect and I don’t want the people who follow me to think that!” she wrote. “So this is the real me, in real time living my best life! Hot tea in hand, ice water leaned up against me, half dressed, and completely worn out! 😂 Mom thanks for the snapshot of me catching some 💤💤s!”

She’s also a small business owner of 3130 Clothing, which is something she’s still learning to balance as a new mom. Sometimes, baby Dax even goes to work with her. “Been at @3130clothing all day with my little guy!!” she captioned a November 27 post. “Y’all I’ve been a hot hot mess today. 🙄 Couldn’t find my hairbrush this morning...Smelled like milk all day, left my cell at home, forgot my wallet, extra clothes for Dax and a burp cloth. 🤦🏻♀️I’m running on zero.. and I’m learning to juggle everything. Feeling a little stressed but he was skin on skin and I love every minute of it today!”
