Amy Adams is dipping her toe back into TV as Deadline announces that the six-time Oscar nominee will star in and executive produce The Holdout from Graham Moore.

Based on Moore's 2020 novel of the same name, the story is a legal thriller set in Los Angeles, following a woman who plays juror, attorney, investigator, and suspect.

Yellowjackets' Drew Comins will executive produce through his Creative Engine Entertainment alongside Adams, Stacy O'Neil and Kate Clifford for Bond Group Entertainment. Fifth Season serves as the studio.

Amy Adams was last seen on TV in Marti Noxon's Sharp Objects alongside Patricia Clarkson, Chris Messina and Eliza Scanlen. The show was nominated for eight Emmys, including one for Adams in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Limited Series or Movie category.

Graham Moore won the Oscar in 2015 for penning the screenplay of The Imitation Game. His most recent film, The Outfit, starred Mark Rylance and Zoey Deutch in a tale of an expert cutter who must outwit a dangerous group of mobsters in order to survive a fateful night.

Further information on where The Holdout will land is to be confirmed. The series is still being shopped around, with competitive bidding ongoing.
