She compared being on the show to the Stanford Prison Experiment.

Lisa D'Amato gave her no holds barred opinion on America's Next Top Model.

The model, who first appeared on the show on Cycle 5 and then won Cycle 17: All Stars, called out Tyra Banks and the show's producer Ken Mok in a private Instagram post, as reported by Entertainment Weekly.

The former reality TV star reportedly urged the show's alums not to be afraid of giving an honest account of their experience in the competition, and even claimed that Banks has blocked her on the social media app.

"Plz plz be honest with yourself and everyone else when I say DON'T BE SCARED to truly tell how horrible it was in your interview," she wrote, in reference to the show's alums sharing their experiences in the controversial series as the 20th anniversary of its premiere approaches in May.

She continued, "Don't act tough. Be real. Don't be scared of the fandom. Don't be scared of Tyra or Ken Mok. The light is coming through and more and more the fandom are on our side. Speak up and speak freely."

D'Amato ended her post, writing, "Remember this is your life too! Fight for it! Do you know who is going to stand up for you if you don't? Do you know who is going to save your life if you don't? You also have my support. That s--t was the Stanford Experiment to many of us. Google that s--t. "

The Stanford Prison Experiment was a deeply controversial psychological experiment where participants were required to commit to a two-week prison simulation (which ended after only six days due to the effects on the participants) as either a prisoner or a guard. The alleged result was that the "guards" psychologically abused the "prisoners."

It's likely that, by comparing the show to the experiment, D'Amato was referencing the psychological impact that the judges' questionable actions had on the aspiring models.

Banks and other judges' harsh critiques and alleged manipulation of contestants have been called out numerous times on social media, with clips showing moments that shouldn't have been acceptable for TV.

In 2020, Banks apologized on Twitter for her behavior on the series, writing, "Been seeing the posts about the insensitivity of some past ANTM moments and I agree with you. Looking back, those were some really off choices. Appreciate your honest feedback and am sending so much love and virtual hugs."
