'America's Got Talent' Finalist 'On the Mend' After Crash in Texas

Singer and band hope to be back on stage for upcoming Stagecoach Festival date.

On Monday, April 17, Drake Milligan and his band were in a collision while traveling between Fort Worth and Georgetown, Texas. Drake and his crew were traveling to Two Step Inn when a tire flew into their van causing it to slam into the concrete median.

Drake and several of his band members sustained injuries and were treated at the hospital, but all have since been released and the Drake Milligan Band will get back on the road again on April 28. The band is slated to play on the main stage at Stagecoach Music Festival in Indio, Calif., that day, and then will continue with the rest of its tour schedule.

Drake, who placed third on season 17 of America’s Got Talent, posted on Instagram:

“Happy to report that we’re all upright and heading home. ⚡️We got in quite the fender bender on the way to @twostepinn, but we’re all on the mend. We really appreciate all the love and well wishes. A special thank you to Mark Bogart with @mbranchkingblinds who got the boys back to Nashville safely. Another big thank you to the fine folks with the Two Step Inn festival who immediately sent a truck to us to put all of our gear in. Lots to be grateful for! We’re gonna rest up, see y’all at @stagecoach real soon!”
