As a couple known for their ongoing jokes and pranks, it's hard to think of American Idol judge Luke Bryan and his wife Caroline as anything but happily in love. So, it makes sense why fans got quite the scare when they heard one of them ended up in the hospital.

In a series of photos shared on Instagram, Caroline revealed to her followers that she underwent a surprise hip operation. Posing from her hospital bed in a gown and scrub cap, she quickly assured folks that she's received support from her loved ones during the unforeseen circumstance.

"Well … unexpected hip surgery," she wrote on November 14. "But I got the best care and surrounded by the most selfless friends ever!"

Unsurprisingly, folks were worried about why Caroline needed urgent medical assistance. Without hesitation, many American Idol fans quickly sent her words of love and support as she goes through this unpredicted difficult moment.

"OMG What happened?? 😢😢😢 Prayers sweetheart that everything goes well and you heal quickly ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻," one person wrote in the Instagram comments section. "You are just ridiculously tough," another encouragingly added. "Sending positive vibes for a quick recovery!" a different fan said.

The unprecedented news of Caroline needing hip surgery comes less than a week after she walked the red carpet supporting Luke as he hosted the 2022 CMA Awards. While she didn't disclosed what caused her to need medical attention, she seemed to be in good spirits based on her social media post.

As far as whether Luke is supporting Caroline through the time of need, it sounds like it. The country singer announced on Instagram he would get back to performing starting November 30, giving him time to be by his wife's side as she recovers.

We hope she feels better soon!
