Nothing can get Luke Bryan down — even if he literally goes down while performing live on stage.

On July 9, the American Idol judge was in Raleigh, North Carolina for his Raised Up Right tour when he took a tumble. Wearing his signature outfit of blue jeans, a t-shirt and a trucker hat, Luke got assistance from the audience to sing his 2013 hit country pop song “That’s My Kind Of Night.” As he was getting into the groove, he was about to strike a fun dance move when he suddenly fell to his side. Luckily, the country superstar ended up landing on his back and didn’t seem to be injured.

Then, while still on the floor, Luke continued singing the bop and even thrusted his hips. After several minutes, he eventually got up on his own and laughed off his spill. (See the incident in the clip here captured by a fan.)

Reacting to Luke’s fall, fans were both concerned and amused. “And he kept singing too! 😆 Luke should be nominated for Entertainer of the Year, after this happen!! And his kind of night indeed!!” one person wrote on Twitter. “The show must go on and we love the show u put on. Way to do it Luke! ♥️,” another added. “OMG…WOW…what happened? Looked like there was something water on the stage? Hope your [sic.] okay ♥️,” a different fan said. "That's all right you was jamming thank God you didn't hurt yourself ..." someone else said.

So, what caused him to fall in the first place? According to Luke, there was a rain delay earlier that evening, which may have made the stage slippery. After he landed on his back, crew members came on the stage to check on him and they used rags to clean up the water.

If this just convinced you to go see Luke in concert, his Raised Up Right tour has lots of stops planned through October. “My favorite place to be is on stage performing to country music fans,” he wrote in a January Instagram post about hitting the road. “So thankful every night when I walk out on that stage and know you are there to have a blast along beside me. It never gets old!”
