[Warning: spoilers for season 9 of American Horror Story ahead]

Wow, can you believe we’re already almost at the end of another season of AHS? People are already starting to predict what season 10 will be about—JK, they’ve been guessing about that before 1984 even started. Still, it’s wild that our time with Brooke, Donna, Montana, Mr. Jingles, and Richard Ramirez will end in one week.

Here’s a quick version of what went down last night. Everyone, and I mean everyone, returned to Camp Redwood. Donna stopped Brooke from murdering the friendly neighborhood National Enquirer reporter by explaining that their purpose is to be the “final girls” and getting justice without hurting anyone else.

Meanwhile, a whole lot of other sh*t went down. But what’s craziest to me is that the entire crew just learned that Montana and Ramirez were a thing. How did they not know this? Even with that reveal, all the Camp Redwood victims still blame Jingles and won’t wait to torture his ghost—even though he just wants to kill Ramirez first! It gets pretty bloody, but now he seems to be living it up with his ghost brother and ghost mom.

So what’s still to come? Well, Margaret is planning on killing every single act who shows up to the big music festival. Who will stop her if Jingles is out of the game? Probably Brooke and Donna. You know, it’s honestly hard to keep track of all the deaths and murders on this show or if they even matter at this point. But that’s not what bothered some fans last night.

“I swear I feel like I watched 50 mins of commercials and 10 minutes of the ACTUAL episode,” one user wrote on Twitter. The replies are almost all in agreement. It’s true, this episode was definitely a filler episode where nothing extremely important happens, but that’s not all. It was also only 38 minutes long, making it the shortest episode of the season.

Still, it’s not that much shorter than the rest of the episodes in the season. Episodes 2, 3, and 5 were all 39 minutes long. In fact, the premiere was the longest at 48 minutes. This is not unusual on network television, which must run commercials throughout their programming, but it can be frustrating when a season consists of only 9 to 10 episodes. It’s kind of hard to complain about the run time of a show like Grey’s Anatomy, which has 20 to 22 glorious episodes a season. Or maybe fans are just spoiled with HBO, Netflix, and Amazon series that are able to run as long as they choose.

So, what do you say, FX? Does a two-hour season finale sound good to you? No? Okay...we’ll take what we can get.
