Daylight saving time is in full effect and days are longer, which gives you more time to figure out for yourself why “America the Beautiful” is more than just a patriotic song.

Hitting the road is more about the experience and thrill of the journey than it is about the destination. Also, considering how cheap gas is these days, you are running out of excuses not to crank up the music and hit the open road.

Part of the adventure is to handle whatever comes your way. In this case it could be wildlife, mesmerizing sunsets and thrilling landscapes with mountains, valleys, waterfalls, coasts, forests, and lakes along the way.

Just make sure you’ve covered the essentials – your car is insured and in good condition; the tires don’t need changing; you have a cell phone charger, first aid kit, fire extinguisher, map, warning triangles, and duct tape.

Break out from winter’s hibernation, be spontaneous, and enjoy the refreshing outdoors.
