Amelia Hamlin seems to be no stranger to controversy these days, right? For starters, she's dating Scott Disick, who casually happens to be a whole 18 years older than she is. Then there was that one time Amelia received hate posing in lingerie on Instagram...which got so bad that her mom, Lisa Rinna, had to defend her in the comments. Amelia's facing controversy again, this time, for a serious accusation—blackfishing.

Yesterday, Amelia posted a picture of herself looking more than a few shades darker than her usual complexion, along with her wearing large hoop earrings and her hair in a long braid. She captioned the post "Whiplash got me like..."

For the record, this is what Amelia's skin color looked like two weeks ago during her recent vacation:

After her followers saw Amelia's recent post, they questioned why she looked so much darker and accused her of trying to blackfish in her photo. She later turned off the comments for the post, and made a statement to her Instagram Stories, which read:

"I'm receiving a lot of comments in regards to my latest photo. I am being told that I am 'Black fishing' — thank you all for educating me on this topic. I recently went on vacation to the sun, and with my Italian heritage I tan very easily. There is no self tanner involved, or intention of looking darker than my own natural skin color. I had a lot of fun creating this look with no malice intention or offense."
