Amazon Is Selling a Tiny Backyard Greenhouse to Fuel Your Plant Obsession
When it comes to putting an actual structure like a greenhouse in your yard, you naturally assume it’s going to take a lot of time, effort, and money. Well, Amazon is here to totally blow that assumption out of the water and fuel your plant obsession at the same time.
The online retailer is selling a Palram Hybrid Hobby Greenhouse in a variety of sizes and colors. The six-foot by eight-foot silver version with plant hangers is $600—but that price is actually pretty inexpensive when you think about the fact that you could have an actual greenhouse on your property in a day thanks to Amazon Prime.
The greenhouse boasts “virtually unbreakable” twin-wall polycarbonate roof panels that block up to 99.9 percent of UV rays and diffuse sunlight so your plants don’t get burned. It also has clear polycarbonate side panels that let in 90 percent of light.
The aluminum frame is rust-resistant and allows for 48 square feet of growing space. It also has 10 polypropylene plant hangers, an adjustable roof vent, rain gutters, and a lockable door handle with a magnetic door catch. The whole thing comes with a five-year limited warranty and customer support, in case you have an issues setting things up.
Plus, reviewers swear that assembling the greenhouse is totally doable. “Overall assembly was easy enough. Working by myself, I had it assembled and ready to our seedlings in about 5 hours,” one person wrote. “Do I recommend this greenhouse???? Heck Yeah!”
“I had to put this together alone, most people said it was a 2 man job. WELL, this little old lady did it in about 6 hours, alone, so don’t be scared to get this if you have to do it by yourself,” another wrote.
This greenhouse is durable, too. “Ours has been up for about 2 months now. We live in Oklahoma and the storms and hard winds (sometimes up to 50mph) have hammered us much of that time,” one reviewer wrote. “I am truly shocked at how well this little greenhouse has held up without any damage. Stayed dry inside too.” Another remarked that the greenhouse is “clearly well thought out from a structural perspective.”
Adding a greenhouse to your property is kind of a big deal, but at least it’s good to know that you can get a great quality version for a good price easily online!
