As dog owners, we love spoiling our cute pups. But sometimes, toys and other products for dogs can be more than just fun and actually serve an active purpose for their brains. That’s where dog feeder toys come in. Enrichment dog toys are vital for a happy dog’s existence because they help expend any energy that might be used to destroy things in your house otherwise. They also keep their mind sharp and active. Some experts even say that even 10 to 15 minutes of mental enrichment and stimulation tires out a dog as much as a 30-minute walk would.

But you don’t have to spend tons of money to help keep your dogs happy and active; Amazon sells an affordable wobble dog feeder toy comparable to high-end toys by brands like Fable Pets.

While Amazon has so many options for dog enrichment toys and wobble dog feeders, specifically, the Starmark Treat Dispensing Bob-a-Lot Dog Toy is probably one of the best. The label states that it “provides hours of mental stimulation and physical activity.”

The toy has a chamber that holds food and a cap that screws on and off when you need to fill it up with the goods. Its wobble function works thanks to its weighted bottom so that, as your dog knocks it around to dispense their food or treats, it always stands right back up. There are also adjustable openings so that you can change how difficult it is for your dog to get their food out (if you have a smarty pants at home).

Starmark Treat Dispensing Bob-a-Lot Dog Toy, All Breed Sizes (Pack of 1), $16.99 on Amazon

Even though the small size says it’s for “all breed sizes” on the Amazon listing, the label says it’s best for “small and medium size dogs.” It costs $16.99 and fits 1.5 cups of food (hence being best for dogs under 20 lbs). Their large size for $20.99 holds 3 cups of food and is best for dogs over 20 lbs. But if you only want to use it for treats and not whole meals, or you plan on refilling it often, either size could work for a bigger dog (unless they're a heavy chewer).

But even owners who have dogs that chew through things all the time like this product. One reviewer said that because it’s not rubber, it’s harder for their dog to “get traction” to chew. Others do have dogs that have chewed through the cap but still recommend it for how well it works as an enrichment toy.

One reviewer wrote that it’s better than the popular Kong treat dispenser because Starmark’s Bob-a-Lot has a smaller opening. And another said that this dispenser was great for their 1-year-old German Shepherd/Lab mix who isn’t usually entertained easily.

The Puffin Game, $55 on Fable Pets and Amazon

As we said up top, this toy is a more affordable option than some viral wobble dog feeder toys, like The Puffin Game by Fable Pets. It costs about $55 and offers the same type of wobble enrichment activity for anxiety and boredom in dogs. It holds up to 1.5 cups of kibble and has ridges on the top to spread peanut butter or other “spreadable” treats.

Other than that, though, it’s designed similarly, with a weighted bottom so it “wobbles” around to dispense treats. But instead of a screw cap on top, it screws open in the middle and offers “multiple complex settings” to change the difficulty for your dog and entertain them for “up to 30 minutes.”

There’s another contender for a dog wobble feeder toy if you want to save even more money. The Guardians Tumbler Pet Toy is only $13.99 and comes in three colors. Its listing title states that it “increases IQ” of your pet, as it offers mental stimulation like the other wobble toys.

This one comes in one size that’s recommended for small to medium-sized dogs and cats, which is a fun addition. It opens on the top to load kibble in and you can change settings for difficulty in the middle.

So, whether your budget is tight or you just don’t want to spend more than $20 on an enrichment toy for your dog—but still get one that helps with boredom and mental stimulation—these Amazon toys are good options for you.
