Starting this Wednesday, Prime members will receive 10 percent off hundreds of sale items at all Whole Foods Market and Whole Foods Market 365 stores across the U.S. As of earlier this month, only locations in 23 state were privy to the discounts.
According to a press release, some of the deals include discounts on baby back pork ribs at $4.99/lb., Sockeye salmon at $13.99/lb., organic red cherries at $3.99/lb., organic yellow peaches at $1.99/lb., Mochi ice cream for $5, and organic Honest lemonade at two for $3. Bulk items, such as nuts, granola, dried fruit, and more, will receive an even greater discount at 25 percent off their original prices.

An added bonus is that customers won't even have to drive to their local Whole Foods store to cash in on these savings. Amazon is allowing Prime members to receive the same discounts by using their grocery delivery service, Prime Now. This option is only available in select cities, though, including Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Boston, Cincinnati, Dallas, Denver, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Richmond, Sacramento, San Diego, San Francisco, and Virginia Beach.

Amazon acquired Whole Foods in a whopping $13.7 billion deal last August, according to CNBC. In a shareholder letter sent by Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos on April 18, it was revealed that Amazon has 100 million Prime members - bigger than the population of some small countries.
“Since starting this rollout in mid-May, Prime members have already saved millions of dollars on everything from seasonal favorites to popular products,” Amazon Prime Vice President Cem Sibay said in a press release.
However, if you're not in the percentile of people who have already signed up for Prime, (but are sold on these deals), memberships are available for $99 per year or $12.99 per month during a trial period.
