Amazon Prime Day is officially just around the corner, and this year it’s going to be bigger than ever. You can expect more than a million deals online that you won't want to miss.

What Is Amazon Prime Day?
Prime Day is Amazon’s annual epic 2-day sale event, featuring significantly slashed prices across the site that are exclusive to Prime members.
There are deals on pretty much everything you can imagine, including big-ticket items like TVs, laptops, kitchen appliances, and of course, highly covetable Amazon products. Every year, the sales get bigger and better, so if you haven’t participated in Prime Day before, now’s the time to start.
Do You Have to Be a Prime Member to Shop Prime Day Sales?
As the name suggests, Prime Day are days of sales aimed primarily at Amazon Prime members, which means many of the biggest deals across those days are exclusive to those with a Prime membership. So if you aren't already a Prime member, now is the time to sign up. But given the sheer size and scope of Prime Day, there will still be plenty of ancillary sales available to anyone shopping the site, Prime member or not.
Is Prime Day the Biggest Sales Day of the Year?
For Amazon, absolutely. When Amazon first launched Prime Day in 2015, it outperformed the previous Black Friday, and the shopping event (and the savings) have only grown since then. Last year's Prime Day offered over 2 million deals in 20 different countries, and this year seems "primed" to exceed even that!

The Deals
When the deals go live on Prime Day, you’ll find on the homepage a mix of Lightning Deals and Spotlight Deals. Amazon usually releases new ones every 5 minutes, so you’ll want to refresh, refresh, refresh that browser.
The Lightning Deals only last for a set amount of time, so make sure to act before time runs out. You’ll be able to see the individual time remaining on each Lightning Deal, too.
The Spotlight Deals last until the item is sold out, so shop quickly — once they’re gone, they’re gone. Depending on the item and sale price, these can sometimes sell out rather quickly, so make sure to add to your cart ASAP.
