TIPS FOR FINDING THE BEST PRIME DAY DEALS
The simple answer is yes because of how good the deals are but we do have some small tips that you should be aware of ahead of the day later this year.
1. Use a free trial to shop the Prime Day sale
If you think about it, Prime members are spending £7.99 a month to shop the Prime Day sale. The idea of paying to shop a sale is a bit odd but considering the amazing prices on offer every year, it's a small price to pay. However, if you're a new Prime user, sign up to Prime before Prime Day and you can shop the sale for free with the free 1 month trial.
2. Shop with an Amazon Gift Card
If you have an Amazon Gift Card that you haven't used yet, why not use it in the Prime Day sales? Amazon in the past has also allowed people to 'reload' gift cards as an extra way of saving money but we are yet to confirm if this service will be available in the 2023 sale.
3. Treat yourself to some early deals
Amazon has deals running every single day so if you're in desperate need of a new golf club set, golf bag or golf watch immediately, you can find some cheap prices on the Amazon Daily Deals page. The Prime Day sale will have the lowest prices but it can’t hurt to treat yourself to a lightning deal or two before the big event.

Golf is a very expensive sport to play and I think utilising sales like Amazon Prime Day, Black Friday and Cyber Monday can be great ways for every kind of player to retain some extra cash... which they can then use to spend on more golf gear!
I know I'll be looking to jump on some of the golf tech deals we have coming up today, but for higher handicap players, Prime Day can be a fantastic way to help you spend less and get more.
Whether you're just starting out, looking to get a handicap or just fancy a knock around with friends at the weekend, package sets are an excellent way to nab yourself a full set of high quality clubs, and a bag in a hassle-free value price.

Sepp Straka dazzled during his final round at the John Deere Classic this weekend, winning the tournament by two shots.
The Austrian, rather amazingly, carded nine birdies and an eagle during his final round and was on track to make a historic 59 on Sunday.

Obviously, with so many deals being churned out this Amazon Prime Day, it can be difficult to keep up with them all, let alone look out for what indeed is a good deal or not. Below, we have provided a few tips on what to look out for, what to avoid and how to find deals.
Reviews: This may sound like a simple one but the easiest ways to know whether a product is good value for money is by looking at the reviews of the model. Not only that, you can also check whether experts have tested the equipment and what they thought of it. If it's negative, or if there aren't many reviews out there, then it may be best to leave.
Trusted Name: There are many, many companies involved in the golf market and it can be tough to keep up with them all. If you see a product which is from a manufacturer you don't recognize, then research them, they are bound to pop up via Google, or indeed tested by equipment testers.
Lightning Deals: On Prime Day, there will be items on offer that remain throughout the two-day period but, it is also worth looking out for lightning deals on the site. This is where a certain model will receive a huge discount for a set amount of time and, once it's gone, it's gone.

MATT'S DEAL OF THE DAY
As I sign off from the blog I thought I would share my best deal of the day. Recently, a couple buddies of mine have taken up the game of golf and are really starting to enjoy it. However, the clubs they possessed were hand-me-downs from the 1970s, clubs which even professionals would struggle to hit, such is the tiny sweet spot on them.
Being in their mid-20s, money is tight and the thought of investing $1000s of dollars isn't feasible. PRICE COMPARISON TOP TIP
As I mentioned earlier, I have been doing this for a number of years now and the more I have done it the easier I find it to predict and spot deals, and remember prices. Of course you guys probably don't do this so a tool I recommend using is called CamelCamelCamel - which basically tracks the price history of products on Amazon. This shows you how cheap a product has been in the past so you can therefore see if something is a good deal or it's just a mediocre sale. I should say it isn't a perfect tool but when finding the best deals it is good to have as many tools in the box right?
Just take the picture above as an example, it tells me the Samsung Galaxy5 Golf Watch is pretty close to being at its lowest price ever. It is 22% off right now by the way.

I just went for a cursory look around the Amazon website and what do we have here, some truly awesome discounts from the famous 3-stripes. There are golf shoes, men's clothing, women's apparel, hats and accessories on offer with discounts getting around the 50% mark. Trust me any time you can get that kind of discount on a brand as good as adidas it is a good day. My personal favorite in there is the 30% off you can get on the adidas EQT golf shoes. I tested those back in May 2022 and they were very, very comfortable indeed (I actually wore them around Augusta National for the 2022 Masters as well - sorry I had to drop that in).

adidas have great deals on Amazon right now but so do one of the biggest brands in golf, TaylorMade. I've been noticing them in the few days before Prime Day putting Rory's Stealth 2 Plus driver on sale at its lowest price ever, as well as other clubs and golf balls. Additionally I've just spotted they have put further discounts on Spider GT putters. Earlier today the discount number was 28% but this has gone up to 39% right now!

Golf Monthly's professional and golf ball expert Sam De'Ath has just messaged me to say there is a Callaway Hex Soft ball deal worth calling out. Amazon has these golf balls with a 25% discount right now which applies to the two dozen box. As such the price goes from $45.99 to $34.39 which really is very good indeed.
The ball delivers a lot of performance for a relatively modest price, and as such, it offers excellent value for money. We should say this is one of Callaway’s distance balls, but one that's billed as also offering excellent feel as well.
