The Amazon Fire TV Stick Just Upgraded the Home Workout Game with its Latest Fitness App

Last week, the fitness company Peloton announced its first app designed for television, which is available exclusively on Amazon Fire TV.

Prior to the launch, the Peloton app was only available on smartphones and tablets—AKA users had to watch their workout classes on the small screen on their handheld device.

Now, users can stream Peloton’s variety of on-demand fitness classes on any screen in the home. The library of fitness content featured on the app includes strength training, yoga, meditation, stretching, bootcamp and cardio (very similar to what’s offered on iOS and Android devices for phones and tablets).

The main difference (besides the screen size)? With the TV app, you’re using a remote control. You can also use Alexa Voice Remote or an Echo device or anything else with Alexa to control Peloton functionality.

The app can be found by searching for it on your Fire TV or hold down the microphone button on your Alexa Voice Remote.

If you’re already a Peloton member, access to the Fire TV app is free with your existing login. If you’re a new member, you can sign up for a 30-day free trial via the Fire TV app. After that, it’s $12.99 a month.

The Fire TV Stick is currently available on Amazon, so you can start your big(ger)-screen workouts ASAP.
