If you’re not already familiar with Amazon Fashion’s line The Drop, allow us to introduce you. Every Thursday the mega-retailer debuts a new mini collection designed in collaboration with fashion influencers like Sierra Furtado, Ellenor Kim and Grace Atwood, to name a few. But there’s a catch—the pieces are only available to shop for 30 hours, so if you see something you like, you better act fast.
Kellie Brown is the latest fashionista to debut her very own collection, and we’re willing to bet we’re not the only excited ones—her personal Instagram page, @itsmekellieb, has more than 141 million followers, plus she runs a second account,@andigetdressed, which has more than 26.6 million followers. There, you’ll find Brown celebrating body positivity by rocking lots of bright, trendy, fun outfits herself and by reposting images from other plus-size Instagrammers she admires.
Brown’s collection for Amazon Fashion is every bit as fun and refreshing as you’d want your post-COVID wardrobe to be. In addition to a fleet of adorable dresses, there are also matching rib-knit cardigans, pencil skirts and flared pants for those not quite ready to give up on the "leggings all day, every day" lifestyle. It features gorgeous pastel greens and blues, bright whites and multiple summer-ready prints (like gingham and tropical florals).
“The collection is inspired by a mix of fond memories and iconic movies that always swirl around in my head,” says Brown. “It’s fashion from the 1970’s, my mom’s effortless style and a mash up of backyard barbeques in cinema-like scenes. It’s things I want to wear and have not seen in my size and pieces that are easy. Grab-and-go style you look and feel amazing in.”
And, yes, the entire collection is available in sizes XXS through 3X.
