Part of the fun of the holiday season is embracing the treats and traditions of various countries and cultures. We love enjoying the cookies and pastries from our friends from different parts of the world, and we often discover along the way some delicious new favorites to incorporate in our own ongoing holiday traditions.

A new seasonal find at Trader Joe’s just in time for the holidays is Stollen Crisps, which is the brand’s take on a traditional German holiday bread and sells for around $4.29. This variation on stollen is in crisp form rather than a sourdough-like dense bread, but these crisps are like traditional stollen in every other way. They are packed with raisins, oranges, lemon peel, and topped with powdered sugar. They’re great for eating on their own or as a sweet way to scoop up a cheese spread or even a dessert dip.

According to TikTok creator Kelsey Oppenheim, these crisps taste like a mashup of Fruit Loops and Frosted Flakes. That sounds absolutely delicious, and a fun way to try a new spin on some familiar and beloved flavors.

While traditionally German stollen is served as breakfast with coffee, Instagram followers are excited to see all the ways they can enjoy these crisps. User erin_funfoodie feels nostalgic, musing about how good these crisps would be with the now-discontinued lemon ricotta spread: “If only it were still around!” User alekr.92 has another fun idea:  “OH MY! That sounds amazing. I hate the powdery outside of Stollen. But this is amazing. I can see it being served on a cheeseboard.”

It may just be exactly what your holiday cheese plate has been missing.
