Amanda Seyfried is Basically Dove Cameron's Doppelgänger in a Photo From Her New Movie

If you thought you were just going to scroll around Twitter today, like any other normal day, think again. Thanks to the power of Twitter, we've been alerted to the truly wild fact that Dove Cameron is basically Amanda Seyfried's doppelgänger.

On Tuesday, Twitter user @chloshale posted a screenshot from Instagram featuring a still photo of Amanda from her upcoming film, The Art of Racing in the Rain that she posted on her Instagram. The photo showed Amanda's character in a white wedding dress, looking absolutely stunning. Next to the photo, there was a screenshot of one commenter saying, "Dove Cameron looks so much like you." As a caption to these screenshots, @chloshale wrote, "wbk. amanda is dove’s mother."

And they are not wrong. From the right angle, Amanda and Dove totally look alike. Heck, they could pass for family if they were cast in a movie or TV series together (wink, wink, nudge, nudge). Dove saw the tweet, and along with retweeting the photos, Dove wrote, "I’ve heard this for years. i should be so lucky," and tagged Amanda in the tweet. Amanda hasn't yet replied to Dove's tweet, but we'd absolutely love to hear her thoughts on this almost identical resemblance to Dove.

Dove's followers flipped when they saw the comparison, immediately throwing out votes for both actresses being cast in something together. One fan even posted side-by-side photos of Amanda's wedding dress photo from the original tweet and a photo of Dove's character in Dumplin' wearing a white dress to prove these two look so much alike. Honestly, the evidence is there, folks; we need to start accepting it.

For now, I'm going to need to go and recover from doing approximately one thousand double takes after being alerted to this stunning doppelgänger moment. This definitely calls for a binge watch of Descendants and Mamma Mia! to help process.
