Deadline has revealed that Amanda Knox will executive produce a limited series for Hulu about her story of wrongful conviction.

Knox is an author, activist, and journalist who spent almost four years wrongfully incarcerated in Italy for the 2007 murder of Meredith Kercher, a fellow exchange student with whom she shared an apartment in Perugia.

Monica Lewinsky is also signed on as an executive producer alongside KJ Steinberg, who will also write the series.

Warren Littlefield, Ann Johnson, Graham Littlefield, and Lisa Harrison will produce for The Littlefield Company, and the series will come from 20th Television.

The search for an actor to play Knox is currently underway.

Knox has previously been vocal about Hollywood using stories like hers without consent. In a recent thread on X (formerly known as Twitter), she spoke about the 2021 film Stillwater, which was "inspired by" her wrongful conviction and used her name to promote the film.

She will now get a chance to depict her story in her own words on this upcoming Hulu series.

Further details are yet to be released.
