The always impeccably dressed Amal Clooney sparkled in a sequined two-piece dress at the Women of Impact dinner hosted by Tina Brown during the World Economic Forum, in Switzerland, last night.

The lawyer and wife of George Clooney, who was recognized at the dinner alongside her client Nadia Murad for the human rights work they have done on behalf of victims of genocide, shined in vintage Chanel from the brand’s spring/summer 1963 collection.

Designed by Coco herself, the two-piece number is covered with delicate ivory sequin embellishment from collar to cuff. A flattering, cropped sleeveless beige top hits loosely at her waist, falling ever-so-slightly over the semi-sheer waistband panel of her matching, knee-length skirt. Classic pointed black heels by Paul Andrew and loose, flowing hair completed the look to perfection.

While stunning, Clooney’s optical illusion two-piece, is sure to keep those pregnancy rumors flying. The flattering look uses contrasting colors, as well as volume above and below, to highlight the waist, was recently resurrected by the house. Keira Knightley and Rhianna both wore dresses from Chanel in 2014 that used the same effect to whittle already tiny waists.

Speculation as to whether the accomplished barrister is expecting began in full force last week after she eschewed form-fitting attire at the premiere of the Netflix documentary The White Helmets in London in favor of a chic Dolce & Gabbana sheath dress.

With child or not, Amal was both on-trend and effortlessly elegant, all while being honored for her amazing dossier of global humanitarian work.
