Amal Clooney Takes a Page from Meghan Markle’s Royal Wardrobe Playbook
Amal Clooney is in New York City to attend the United Nations General Assembly, and earlier today en route to the Committee to Protect Journalists event, the world’s most famous human rights attorney cut a stunning figure in a look that’s having something of a moment: the little red dress. Earlier this week, Brigitte Macron also made waves in the eye-catching color, but whereas Macron’s frock had her signature fit-and-flare silhouette, Clooney took a different tack with a cut that recalled the style of her friend Meghan Markle.
Clooney’s caped dress recalled the moss-green Ralph Lauren style that the Duchess of Sussex wore to attend the christening of Prince Louis. The overlay panel lent dimension to the streamlined shape, while the body-skimming silhouette beneath was flatteringly elongating. Camel-colored accessories let the bold hue do the talking.
